The story of a prisoner, EDDIE (Casper van Dien) who has been in out of jail most of his young life. The only thing which keeps him going is his seven year old son. Eddie finds a way out of the prison walls by getting himself assigned to a farm to care for an ailing racehorse – thinking it to be an easy job. Big Spender (based on a true story) was once a world class race horse. Once he stopped winning, his owner abused him and leaves him for dead. In the process of rehabilitating Big Spender to championship status, Eddie learns about life, love and forgiveness -- giving both himself and Big Spender a new lease on life.
