Ellen Wander

Founder / CEO

Ellen Wander is the founder and CEO of Film Bridge International (FBI). The company is engaged in the financing, distribution, and production of motion pictures and television programs. Since its inception, FBI has distributed more than 150 films and programs to 42 countries around the world.


In 2023, Ellen produced the action film CLASSIFIED. Filmed in Malta and directed by Roel Reine the cast includes Arron Eckhart, Abigail Breslin, and Tim Roth.


In October 2023, Ned Crowley’s KILLING FAITH, starring Guy Pearce, DeWanda Wise, and Tim Roth, set in the western desert, the film will shoot in New Mexico.


Now in post-production, FBI will soon be releasing the political thriller, ANNA. The principal cast includes Maxine Peake and Ciaran Hinds and is directed by James Strong.


Ellen produced the action-adventure, ASSASSIN CLUB starring Henry Golding, Naomi Rapace, and Sam Neill. The film was released by Paramount Pictures in the winter of 2023.


Among her other thirteen producing credits are: SPINNING MAN, a contemporary thriller, starring Pierce Brosnan, Guy Pearce, and Minnie Driver-- released by Lionsgate, and THE REQUIN a shark adventure released by Paramount and Lionsgate. Ellen also served as Executive Producer for MARSHALL, the acclaimed feature about legendary justice, Thurgood Marshall, starring Chadwick Boseman. Other credits include MISCONDUC with Al Pacino and Anthony Hopkins, Stephen King’s DOLAN'S CADILLAC, AT MIDDLETON starring Andy Garcia and Vera Farmiga, and WINNIE with Jennifer Hudson and Terrence Howard.


Before FBI, Wander was head of worldwide distribution for Turner Pictures, a division of Turner Broadcasting. She is credited with having introduced Turner Broadcasting to the international theatrical and video distribution marketplace. Earlier in her career, Wander was Vice President of Ancillary Distribution at RKO Pictures where she sold new RKO productions as well as library films to pay and basic cable television companies in North America. In addition, she was in charge of the RKO Home Video operation.


Ellen began her career in the cable television industry and worked at the Walt Disney Company as National Accounts Manager on the introduction of The Disney Channel. Ellen also served on the board of the American Film Marketing Association and has been involved in the organization’s industry relations committee.


Ellen has a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the State University of New York and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Syracuse University.
